Venture Club is an organization for women who provide money and
volunteer service to Yolo County nonprofit organizations. We meet on the
second and fourth Wednesday of the month between September and May. Be

$13,000 in Grant Money Available to Local Community Service Groups
Venture Club of Davis, a service organization comprised of women who strive
to enhance their community, has proudly served Yolo County for 45 years. For
the past number of years, we have provided financial grant awards to Yolo
County non-profit organizations.
It is time again to begin accepting grant requests for our February 2010
awards. The focus of this year’s grant awards is general family health with
an emphasis on women and children. Venture Club has over $13,000 in funding
available. You may submit your grant request via email or postal mail. For

Nominations for Outstanding Individuals Who Help Support the
Advancement of Women in Society.
It is time for nominations for our Mae Carvell Award. The Mae Carvell Award
is named after the founder of Venture Club and is awarded annually to a man
or woman who has been influential in contributing to the advancement of
women’s status in society. Please take the time to recognize an individual
who deserves it! All nominees will be informed of their nomination and the
winner will be announced at our awards ceremony in February. A donation of
$100 will be made to a non-profit organization of the recipient’s choosing.
To nominate a deserving individual please outline the reasons you selected
your nominee for recognition; examples of the nominee's influence on women
and provide any supporting documentation. You may submit your nomination via
